With a deep passion for football and a proven track record in sports administration, I’m committed to revitalizing Zimbabwean football from the grassroots to the global stage. Together, we can bring transparency, professionalism, and excellence to the beautiful game in Zimbabwe.
As a candidate for the presidency of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), my primary goal is to sanitize, revitalize, and elevate football in Zimbabwe. Our cherished sport desperately needs a President who will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to restore integrity, professionalism, accountability, and excellence to Zimbabwean football, ensuring that it thrives at all levels, from grassroots to the national team.

About Twine Phiri
A Leader. A Visionary. A Champion for Football.
I am a renowned businessman and football administrator with over two decades of experience. I began my football career in 1999. After purchasing a 50% stake in CAPS United to became the sole owner, I became Zimbabwe’s youngest football club owner at just 27 years old.
I have held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of Twincon Industrial and President of CAPS United Football Club. I am the current President of the Zimbabwe Refrigeration Airconditioning Association. I am also a seasoned administrator equipped with the right experience, tools and strategies to address the challenges currently facing Zimbabwe football and lead ZIFA to a brighter future.

robust development opportunities.
Create a vibrant football culture that engages and excites fans.

Stakeholders such as players, coaches, clubs, and fans have expressed the need for:
• Greater openness and responsibility within ZIFA operations.
• Better training grounds, stadiums and equipment to support the development of football at all levels.
• Robust programs to nurture young talent and provide ongoing training and mentorship.
• Stronger, more effective communication channels and engagement strategies to foster a more connected and supportive football community.
